Anna helping Brian

Brian took the computer apart so he could clean it and add . . . hmm, I can't remember right this minute but I think it was memory. Anyway the important part is that Anna really wanted to help so being a good Daddy, Brian let her. She kept putting her pacifier into the computer case and Brian had to keep taking it out.
Anna and I with the elephants at the zoo. I went a couple weeks ago with Emily, Jaxon, and Blake. We had a good time but I was only able to take one picture because my battery died--bummer.

Anna is very good at imitating. She will put phones up to her ear as we do and she even will put this ear checker up to her ear--or close enough.

Anna got this far with the wipes before Brian and I noticed she was having too good of a time.

Business Trip to California

Brian had to go to Ontario, California on business so Anna and I drove down with him. We took the truck and threw the stroller in the back. It took us about 6 hours with all the stopping we had to do with Anna. She was trooper and actually was not too fussy. Of course we forgot our camera so we have no pictures but I will tell you that we had a great time. Ben got us a great deal at the Courtyard and gratefully it was strategically located across the street from an outlet mall. Yippee! I know, not usual for me but I was so excited that there would be something for Anna and I to do while Brian was in his meetings. Anna and I walked to Krispy Kreme and had a yummy donut (Grandma Roberts and Grammy Smith don't read next line) Anna was given a free little sampler glazed donut and I did give her a tiny piece of it.

We then passed through the giant mall parking lot in which they were setting up a circus. We looked but could not see any animals--bummer. So we shopped at Children's Place and Carters and walked around the entire mall. We saw the fish at the rainforest cafe and found some great deals on clothes for Anna. We spent about 2 hours on our adventure and then went back to the hotel room so Anna could take a nap. Of course she would not just lay down and sleep in the pack and play with me sitting right there so we walked the halls and the "backyard" of the hotel until she feel asleep and then we sat in the shade. Anna slept and I read. It was so pleasant. We were there two nights and came home on Thursday. It is a bit rough getting Anna back on her schedule but the mini vacation was well worth it.

Anna now prefers to walk rather than crawl--unless she sees and open door or gate that she wants to race through--then she crawls super fast towards it. She also jabbers away all the time and will "read" books out loud to us and it is the cutest thing. I have a few pictures I will post and will try to get some footage of her "reading."
