Canning Fun

For the last three months I have been participating avidly in my new hobby of home canning (pressure canning and water bath canning). I have canned tomatoes, apples, peaches, pears, pork, and beef. Luckily I have infected Bennett, Julie, and Anne with the canning bug so we have all had fun storing food for the winter. Honestly I would say all the hard work is worth it. There is such satisfaction seeing all your jars lined up and knowing you are taking care of your family. We have tried everything we've canned and it is all tasty. These are apple slices we canned. (sorry mom, no lemon slices in them)
